I was reached out by outsource recruiter for a remote Data Analyst position. He didn’t seem to have a good understanding of the role, tried to give information but they were mostly vague. During the call he mentioned a very good fit and mentioned he’ll give me updates for the next steps and I accepted. I followed up twice, but got no answer. Simply ghosted.
My advice: Don’t steal people’s time if you don’t know what the needs and desires for the role are. Don’t give promises you can’t keep. Priorities can change, but you need to show respect to your candidate’s time and your promises, especially if you are the one who did the outreach
