The recruiter reached out to me in response to my application and we chatted about my background, the role, and sorted out whether it would be a good fit for each of us. The conversation was great. Laurel was awesome to talk to, very friendly, no ego, no rush/urgency to crank through the call like some recruiters do. She sounded very passionate about DO, which was infectious.
After that, I had a call with the hiring manager, where we talked through my background, and he asked me several project/experience related questions and we talked about some specifics to assess my knowledge about marketing, storage, technology, and culture.
After the call, I got invited to meet with a few other folks remotely and then one more time in person with the hiring manager. All the calls were done through Google Hangouts and each person was knowledgeable and passionate about DO, and asked good questions about my background and gave good insights about the company and the role and how I would be interacting with them.
Laurel was always available and responsive throughout the process, but in total, I think the interview process took 3-4 weeks.
