A recruiter reached out to me via LinkedIn and asked me if I could be interested in the job. So I said yes, and the process started. It was pretty painful, as my recruiter would re-schedule my two rounds of interviews (one technical, one with a manager) 6 or 7 times. Sometimes she would re-schedule when I was at the office entrance already. Nevertheless I passed it and told them that I'm okay with waiting for feedback as I have ongoing interviews with another company, and I'd have to have all the information to make any decisions anyway. Well, it turned out that they just completely forgot about me - I didn't receive any kind of feedback for 4 months or so. Then all of a sudden they reached out to me again and told they'd like to have another conversation. Well, okay, I went there. It was another technical interview, during which I was asked questions based on my most voted-up LinkedIn skills - despite saying that that list doesn't correlate very well with my actual knowledge and skills. Knowing about 'you forgot about me 4 months ago' situation, they promised to get back in 2 days. It has been two weeks until I got a reject letter stating that I'm underskilled for a senior position. And I'm happy about being rejected, because if a company treats its hiring process like that, I wouldn't count on business processes being well-developed overall.
