Had a very aweful interview experience with a female (probably some senior tester from the team) from this company, who was supposedly assessing automation testing skills but had absolutely no real automation or DevOps experience whatsoever. Instead of discussing frameworks, strategies, or real-world automation challenges, she mindlessly read off a script of generic Selenium questions—without even understanding what she was asking. When it came to actual automation tools like Selenium, TestNG, or CI/CD pipelines, Docker containers, etc. she was completely clueless. No knowledge of modern DevOps practices, no hands-on experience—just outdated manual testing and memorized syntax. The technical and problem solving questions were very shallow. It’s honestly baffling that someone so technically incompetent and out of touch has the power to make hiring decisions. This was a reminder that years in a role don’t always equal expertise, and professionalism is just as important as technical knowledge. Hard pass
