A complete, unprofessional waste of time. I originally connected with a recruiter who set up an interview immediately. The interview felt so forced. I should have understood this as a red flag! My camera was on while hers was off and usually, I don't find this a big deal, however, there were long pauses after all of my comments/questions which felt like she was multitasking and not even paying attention to me. Anyway, she thought I would be a good fit so she set me up with the hiring manager. I thought: let me try again because I truly believed in the mission of the company. The hiring manager talked for about 23 minutes of the 30, asked me 2 questions, and I barely had time to ask her anything. At this point, I'm not sure if she was having a rough day but I give people the benefit of the doubt. She told me she would reach out to me with an assignment, and once I completed it and sent it over, I didn't hear back from anyone for a week! I followed up and was told they're "still reviewing it." Longer story short: Never responded to me about the assignment, reached out to me to interview for another role, then sent me an email saying they were not going to interview me further for the second role because they found someone. Then why call me in the first place? TBH I feel like I dodged a bullet! I would never be interested in working for them again—feel completely disrespected.
