I was contacted by the recruitment team after almost 2 months of submitting my profile via an agency.
The first round was a telephonic screen. The interviewer was my b-school alum and my junior. He was new into Epsilon and was in a position above what I was applying for. I was a bit skeptical about this, but approached the discussion with an open mind. The interview was mostly questions I would ask an analyst/team leader and was about the size of the data I had handled and about the depth of the problems I had handled. I was OK till he asked me about my CTC. This is where I have a big problem, I think except the hiring manger and the HR, I feel the CTC questions should not have been asked. As I felt that his attitude towards my candidature changed after that. He was trying hard to find things I hadn't done ( e.g. - Of late you haven't worked on end customer data). I ended up being screened-out. I felt that the hiring manager should have screened me, as a leader, when I felt that I had 90%+ of all the requirements desired by the role. A screen reject is something I am unable to digest easily.
