The interview process for Equisolve was what I wish other interview processes looked like: relatively fast, over-communicative, and a perfect blend of professional and friendly.
The process began with an informational interview with a Director to simply learn more about the company and the role. I had been referred by a mutual connection.
A formal interview (virtual) was scheduled for a week later in which I met with the same Director and a team manager. We went over my experience, I was asked some questions, and I had the chance to learn more about the role.
A week later, I met (virtually) with the members of the team I'd be joining. The meeting was lighthearted and friendly as we got to know each other. We dove into the specifics of the role. I was asked how I handled certain project expectations, what I learned from past experiences etc. They explained expectations for the position. At the end of the meeting, I stayed on with the Director. She made the initial soft offer, and I expressed interest in accepting.
I received the official offer the next day. I accepted it within 24 hours.
The entire process was professional, friendly, and I was never unsure about next steps. Everyone at Equisolve seems to be very personal, which is something to look for in a largely remote company.
