--->My worst interview experience soo far<---
Tech stack: NodeJs, MongoDB, Typescript, Angular
- Applied on 18th Apr, through LinkedIn.
- Recruiter asked further questions on 22nd Apr, on email.
- Initial interview with recruiter on 29th Apr, about some basic understanding of my expertise and professional experience soo far, expected salary, and their expectations for this role.
- Received a coding task to complete and push on Github within 5-6 hours, on NodeJs, Typescript, and MongoDB.
- Coding task feedback meeting with the recruiter on 18th May, and got a great feedback of my task's solution.
- Technical interview with CTO and a BE developer on 24th May. 3-hour long interview comprised of two parts, the first part covers some questions on the solution I did and the approach I used to do that, plus some additional questions about Typescript and Angular, and the second part covers some general questions about myself, past experiences, current company, coding practices, software development methodologies, etc.
- Another meeting with CTO and a potential team lead on 30th May and got positive feedback on the technical interview. Thus, they presented an offer to me along with all the benefits, and the relocation support as well. But, they were offering a slightly less salary package than what I agreed upon with the recruiter, on the very first call.
They also emailed me the documented version of the offer to review and make a decision.
- Nevertheless, after doing some research about the company and the living cost of Hamburg (Germany), I accepted the offer on 2nd Jun.
- Had another meeting with the recruiter the next day (3rd Jun), and she said that we decided to withdraw the offer, and the reason she mentioned was "We are not having a good feeling about you" :)
