I applied through a staffing agency. I interviewed at Fellow in Mar 2026
Interview
A recruiter reached out to me and scheduled an interview with the Sales Director. The conversation mainly consisted of a series of pre-written questions, which made the interaction feel more like verbally filling out a form than having a real discussion.
Within the first couple of minutes, I had the impression that the management style and mindset wouldn’t be a good fit for me. The tone felt very scripted and heavily influenced by the kind of generic sales advice you often see circulating on LinkedIn or in popular self-development content.
Overall, the interaction gave me the sense that the culture might be more focused on buzzwords than on authentic business conversations.

Very disappointing interview experience with Fellow.
The recruiter no-showed the interview without notice, and I had to personally follow up just to get it rescheduled. After the follow-up interview, I was told I’d hear back, but received no communication whatsoever.
For a company that positions itself as professional and people-focused, the process felt disorganized and disrespectful of candidates’ time. It left a really poor impression, and I would not apply again.
I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Fellow (Ottawa, ON) in Jan 2023
Interview
After having done 3 interviews, a pitch deck and a presentation (where you're required to download and populate their software), I was given a verbal commitment on moving forward to the next interview (I believe the last stage). Not only did I follow up a week after not hearing from the company on the date I was told I would, but after 2 weeks I received a generic email from BambooHR stating that due to the volume of applicants, I was "not an ideal fit based on needs". This is fine, but after having sent a follow-up inquiry, preparing a presentation and downloading their app, and receiving a verbal commitment, I was floored for not even receiving a thank you and any level of feedback. It was a colossal waste of time in the end and very poorly constructed.

Question 1
2 case studies in which you prepare a sales pitch, a scenario in which you download and demo their product, etc. Standard fare, but rather involved.
