Went through a year of networking and talking with four different people just for them to not give an offer because I said a 5 year goal of mine was to go into the analytical side of the industry. The spouted about helping workers move around the company to different rolls but they really just wanted a worker to stay as a CRA indefinitely. They said I was driven and had a great understanding of the industry, but again they wanted someone to just stay in that roll. Very unorganized process that had me waiting for months on end, took over a year in total to hear back from everyone. The final round interviewer seemed very uninterested and at the beginning of the interview even stated that I was the only thing between him and the weekend. If you want to get into finance and grow in the industry, not the place for you.
