I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Fidelity Investments (The Villages, FL) in Jul 2023
Interview
I was asked extensively about the wealth management industry, how Fidelity is different, and what to expect from the organization. Fidelity is a great industry with it's unique structure and benefits. The position I applied for was not directly involved in the investment choices, but rather the financial planning aspect - including service.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
The interviewer asked about the process at my small RIA firm.
The 1st interview was a self-recorded interview where you're replying to fixed questions. The 2nd interview was a panel interview with multiple interviewers. The 3rd interview was an offer from 1 of the original interviewers.
I had a screening call with a talent acquisition officer. My interactions with the individual was unpleasant and unprofessional. The individual missed multiple calls we had scheduled and eventually ghosted me.
Hr screening, then interview with branch. Not a whole lot to report as questions were fairly standard relating to planning experience and client relationship management abilities. Did not get position as even though I was told I interviewed well they had many qualified internal candidates.
