30 minute interview, 5/6 questions based the concept of European defence from challenges to opportunities to cooperate.
It was very easy to schedule the interview, with a lot of timeslots available. I also heard back pretty quickly both after sending my application and after the interview.

Interview
The application process consists of a CV and Cover Letter screening followed by an interview. A sample paper of maximum 3000 words is required together with the CV and the Cover Letter.

Question 1
The interview question focus on the motivation of the candidate and his/her experience, as well as some very basic knowledge of the European defence and security landscape.
I was asked to pick a possible topic that I would research on if I got selected and motivate my choice.

Interview
It is relatively informal and short. The Trainee manager and the research manager interviewed me. It lasted no more than ten minutes. Questions most revolved around my research interests and my previous experience.
