I had my first-stage interview with FD over Teams, which lasted around 25 minutes. The interviewer was friendly and chatty, making the process feel quite relaxed. The questions covered a mix of personal and technical topics, including my background, work experience, transferable skills for a Software Engineer role, knowledge of FD and the role, preferred office location, and any projects I was proud of. There were also some technical questions, such as my proficiency in Microsoft Excel, which I rated as basic, having used it for filtering data but not formulas. A brief background check followed, covering my passport type and where I was from. The interview wrapped up with an informative Q&A session. Two weeks later, I received an update that I wouldn’t be progressing to the next stage. Unfortunately, no constructive feedback was provided, which was disappointing as I would have appreciated insights on how to improve.
