Horrific. They called me first for a brief phone screen before bringing me in. They seemed generally agreeable and even flexible. They agreed to meet me late in the day so I could cut down on my time away from work. So, I had high hopes for the interview. I never should have gone! The panel of three attorneys walked in about 20 minutes late. They then proceeded to conduct an hour long interrogation which was overwhelmingly negative. They asked me to explain career mistakes I had made years ago and had never recently been made to account for. Ever. All the while they were scoffing and rolling their eyes at me. I have been treated poorly before but never quite this poorly. Oh, and did I mention they were sure to let me know that, even though I'm taking the train, I better be in early enough to start work at the stroke of 9:00 a.m.? Or that I may not always be able to take a lunch break? Paralegals can see a lot of abuse. I have first hand knowledge of that. It's a thankless job. This goes above and beyond anything I've seen! When I finally got back to the lobby I called my sister and said "Ok, so I just had the worst interview ever." I told her they were rolling their eyes at me, focusing on college and jobs I had years ago. I have no chance. Imagine my surprise when they called twice just two days later for a second interview. If that's how you treat people you like, how do you treat those you don't?! I dodged them like the plague! No thank you. I'd rather stay right where I am.
