Fairly informal first interview with section chief (line manager for the position). STAR questions were used but weren't stuck to slavishly (i.e. she seemed interested in gaining an understanding of me and my experience and wasn't blindly following a list of preprepared questions). Similarly, she was interested in making sure I was fully informed about the job as a whole and the day-to-day activities involved - i.e. they seem to care that it's a good match on both sides.
