The initial phone interview went very well. The HR representative was friendly, positive, and gave me a very welcoming impression of the company. She took the time to explain the role, the team structure, and the overall recruitment process in a clear and encouraging manner. I felt comfortable throughout the conversation and appreciated the genuine interest she showed in my background and motivation for applying. The experience left me with a strong sense of enthusiasm about the opportunity and the company culture.
The second interview, which took place on Microsoft Teams, was quite different from the first one. The interviewers appeared more reserved and focused primarily on technical questions, showing little interest in discussing my previous experience or how my skills could contribute to the team. Early in the interview, one of the interviewers mentioned that there would be a lot to learn in the role, which gave me the impression that the team might not be particularly supportive or prepared to provide constructive guidance to new members. While I understand that technical assessments are an essential part of the hiring process, the overall tone of the interview felt rather rigid and impersonal. As a result, the experience was less engaging and did not leave the same positive impression as the initial phone interview.
