      Survey Associate Interview

      8 Jun 2016
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Austin, TX
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at GLG (Austin, TX) in May 2016

      Interview

Applied online, had an initial phone interview with an HR rep (~15 minutes) then a 30 minute call with a manager of the survey team the next day. After that was told I would need to schedule three video interview, one an hour and 45 minutes and the other two would follow based on if they want to continue on with me. The first video interview was awful. My interviewer was late, therefore I was asked the same questions twice. I was thrown into a case study that is supposed to simulate what interacting with a client would be like as a Survey Associate. They provided no guidance, claimed they weren't checking content just what kinds of questions you asked and how you spoke with the "client". Was provided feedback on the spot and it was nerve racking. It would be great if they would explain a bit more on what the overall goal of the interaction is, especially because they aren't entirely explicit about how the relationships are like between associates and clients. Heard back the next day that they are going with someone else. I'm not sure why they have such an extensive interview process. I was asked the same exact things each interview and it didn't seem like there was much discussion between the interviewers about me. Other than that, it's essential you really know GLG's business model well. Watch their videos they have on their site, read through their FAQ section, and be able to describe in your own words why you like their model and why you want to work with them. It isn't a difficult process at all as long as you know that, the problem is it's an intensive process and I feel like I wasted a bunch of unnecessary time, especially because i had to take off from work for that video interview.

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at GLG (New York, NY) in Feb 2019

      Interview

there were three rounds of interviews, one prescreener interview, the second interview was a video conference where there was a case study and role playing exercise, the third round was a three hour interview where you will meet with various people. The third round is extremely long without breaks nor were refreshments offered. When I first walked in I knew immediately they wouldn't offer me the job. This company pretends to hold values of diversity and inclusion but they do not practice what they preach. This company seriously lacks people of color. After the third interview, I sent not only a thank you email but a follow up email as well with no response. This company and employees lack professionalism, they completely ghosted me, they didn't even send the standard rejection email. In hindsight I am so thankful I was not hired for this position it seems extremely toxic.

I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at GLG (New York, NY) in Mar 2018

      Interview

Applied online and was contacted the next day for a phone screening with the department manager. The recruiter took several days to respond to my availability, but set me up with an interview by the end of the week. Department manager called on time and explained the role very well and asked basic questions about my resume. I was told I would be contacted "soon" with more information, but they never got in touch with me. After a week, I attempted to contact the recruiter, but she ignored my email. Another two weeks passes and I emailed the department manager directly only to be ignored again. Very unprofessional HR department.
