      Barcelona
      Accepted offer
      Declined offer
      Positive experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Gartner (Fort Myers, FL) in Apr 2017

      Interview

Extremely organized: Stage 1 - Get to know you call, interests, why sales, goals (take notes on the information they give you) Stage 2 - Role play and more get to know you... no need to prepare for role play, just veting out people who don't have the sales mentality Stage 3 - Ft. Myers on campus interview: Q&A with current AE (45 min to ask questions about the job, living in Ft. M , etc.), Meeting with VP & Area Manager (conversation and white board activity), Role Play (case simulation, do not prepare just ask questions) Stage 4 - Follow up (find out within a week) Everyone was professional, friendly and intelligent. They seek talent for their potential and invest heavily in each individual - 2 months of training and want to prepare each person with the toolkit to find success in their position Fun facts I learned: 2,000 + campus of young professionals, 20 + clubs to get involved in, 80% relocate to Ft. Myers

      Application

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Gartner (Barcelona) in Apr 2019

      Interview

The interview process was composed of five steps. 4 steps were interviews on the phone with recruiters, steps number 3 and 4 including a little sales role-play. The final step was in person in the Barcelona office with the recruiter that was there since the beginning of the process, a manager and the VP of sales. Overall, the process was very smooth and I was very well accompanied receiving constructive feedback (very helpful!) from the recruiter between each step. They really want you to do well and give you all the info you need to succeed. Special thanks to Roberta !

      Account Manager SMB Interview

      9 Jul 2018
      Anonymous employee
      Egham, England
      Accepted offer
      Positive experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Gartner (Egham, England)

      Interview

4 rounds of interviews: 1. Initial phone call & Gartner Introduction 2. Phone call consisting of "Tell me a time when" questions 3. Continuation of stage 2 with more detail and a phone call role play 4. Assessment day with another role play From my experience the recruitment process overall was excellent. It was was well organised and they gave candidates tangible feedback on how to improve. The company is big on coaching and likes people who can take advise and continually develop. If you have done sales before it should be challenging but not too difficult. Also make sure you apply for other jobs simultaneously as I feel the company took me more seriously when they knew I was applying for multiple roles.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

What's the difference between Gartner and a management consultancy company? What do Gartner's executive presence, will to win, pathway to gold and clockspeed traits mean? Why Sales? Why Gartner?
