I applied online. The process took 6 days. I interviewed at Geek Squad (Manassas, VA) in Mar 2013
Interview
Initial communication started with a phone call from the Precinct's Senior asking for availability for first interview. First interview was with the Department Manager focused mostly on previous working experience as well as skill set; interview ran a bit long (~1 hour) since the interviewer had to walk out of the interview due to needing the manager's presence on the floor. The second interview was a phone interview with the Geek Squad Manager to test my IT background and knowledge; the interview was short (~15 minutes). The third and last interview was with the General Manager and focused mostly on employee expectations, shrink, operations, and employer expectations. On first and third interview, there was great focus on Best Buy policy on theft whether internal or not. During the first and third interview, the interviewers used packets with preset questions but would also ask their own questions depending on my response.

Most of the interview focused on behavioral questions about teamwork, customer service, and problem-solving, with one or two light technical questions related to basic troubleshooting.
