I applied through a staffing agency. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at General Motors (GM) in Nov 2015
Interview
-"Group interview/tour" through a contract company discovered on my univeristies career website. At the end a short 15 minute interview with a manager.
-Was told that the job was "Design Engineer" and required a bacholers degree in engineering. This matched the job description given to me by the contract company.
-Interview went well, was offered the job 2 weeks later along with several of the other interviewees.
-Turns out it was actually an entry level designer position which required no more than 2 year college diploma. I supposed in the end it is my fault for not drilling the interviewer/contract company more about the actual responsibilities of position, I thought the advertised titled, job description, ans several questions i asked in the interview would be enough.
-Basically sucked in and decieved recent engineering grads and threw them into designer positions, not sure why since anyone with a CAD design diploma would be much more effective at the designer role..
Phone screen with HR to determine elligibility, followed by an In person interview (with a panel) by department peers. STAR Format questions for the most part. Offer would follow this.

I applied online. The process took 5 months. I interviewed at General Motors (GM) (Toluca, México)
Interview
They reach out to me after several months of applying for scheduling an interview. I did the first interview, which consisted of a series of recorded questions. They didn´t give me feedback or information about the time for the decision. After that, they never reached out to me, not even for sent and rejection e-mail. They were very informal in their recruitment for an international company.
