I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Groupon (Chicago, IL) in Jan 2012
Interview
I applied through an opening that I found on the website and was contacted a week later by someone to set up a phone interview. I called him back the following morning for a 15-minute phone interview. It was mostly sales questions about keys to success in sales (especially as I didn't have any sales experience) and also questions about why I was specifically choosing Groupon. The interviewer was friendly, but seemed a bit disengaged.

Interview
When I arrived it was at least 7 other people in the lobby waiting to be interviewed as well. When it was my turn my name was card and I was led to the interview room. I interviewed with a woman and then with a man. The interview lasted around 45 minutes. I received a call back but I wasn't able to answer when the lady called and I was never able to reach her afterwards so I just assumed I didn't get offered the position.
Phone and Skype combo. Seemed rushed and wrote me off quickly without diving deeper. Seemed like they wanted a direct connection with the work I'm doing at my current employer, but the industry and circumstances are different. They asked a lot of questions about handling stress, constant change, and working within a fast-paced team environment.
