I applied online. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at Hertz in Jun 2012
Interview
Email, then phone screen, standard personality assessments via email and then face to face interview.
My face to face interview was late for our appointment, which was perfectly fine. During the interview process all he did was tell me how impossible it is to succeed at the position I am applying for.
All I can say is, if you don't think the person is right for the job don't invite them for a face to face interview. I am happy to talk on the phone, answer emails, etc. but when you have me drive out to meet you and spend time off from my current job when you know that either you will not hire me or you will not fill the position then you are wasting both of our time.
As of today the job I applied for is still up. So apparently they are in no hurry to fill it.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
The questions all were on the order of "how do you make a square circle." I cannot be too specific as it will be easy for Hertz to know which specific position I was applying for.
In person, one on one interview with basic questions. The first interview was with the area manager, who sent me to a second, same day interview with one of the local branches with another branch manager.
It was a quick 2 step process. Spoke with a recruiter and then GM. They asked similar questions, but the GM interview was more in depth. They wanted to know about my branch numbers and my plan to grow revenue.
informative and very detailed job description. Responsibilities were explained as well. Sales management important to create revenue for company growth. Sales important also helping customers by answer questions. Timely transactions and work speed important dor the role.
