      Property Management Interview

      26 Aug 2015
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Chico, CA
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Hignell (Chico, CA) in Sept 2011

      Interview

The initial interview with the HR director and two executives went well. I had the required training and experience. The second interview was two hours of being almost insulted by another manager. She sat opposite me at a long conference table. Eleven other managers and executives attended the interview, but few asked me questions. I learned the office started each day with voluntary prayer sessions. That was fine, but I felt the inquisitor was judging my personal history rather than work experience. I wanted to ask this woman if I had offended her in some way. Her attitude was arrogant and I felt she was prodding me to be unprofessional. At the end, I told the HR director I no longer wanted the job.

      Question 1

Would I be offended by the staff starting each day with prayer? Would I be willing to travel for additional training?
