I worked with a recruiter. The process was short and painless.
1 hour pre-screen technical phone interview with a SW engineer. Technical questions mostly about java programming language. No coding, screen sharing, or camera required.
Onsite interview scheduled a few days later. 4 x 30 minute interviews one on one with 4 different individuals.
1. Interview with hiring manager - mostly behavioral and job/team fit questions.
2. Technical interview with Lead SW developer - he asked me to code a function. He handed me his laptop and described the problem, I just needed to fill in logic for the function - java. No whiteboard coding :)
No tricks, gimmicks, or puzzles, just straight forward questions.
3. Technical/leadership/team fit interview with scrum master
4. Behavioral/team fit interview with Product owner
Got immediate feedback through recruiter that it went well and that I should expect an offer. Impromptu call with HR VP a couple weeks later - he asked a few behavioral questions and then extended the offer and described benefits. Got the offer letter a few days later. I asked to extend start date out a few weeks, no issues. From first contact with recruiter the whole process took about a month.
