I applied online. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Hitachi Vantara (Bengaluru) in Jun 2019
Interview
Completely HR oriented, little or null technical questions asked. 4 interview rounds were there after the GD round, and the only round I was asked one technical question was the first round. Even there it was mainly an HR interview.
Suppose you are a Team Lead and there is a junior engineer working under you, and you have a Manager above you, take a situation where there is a project which is being done by the junior, you have to review it and pass it on to the Manager who will hand it over to the client. If the client reports a technical error, and the Manager comes to you, what will you do- Will you accept your fault or will you pass on the blame to the subordinate?
Pretty basic process.
They just did a couple of questions along 3 interviews.
One with a talent recruiter.
Another more technical.
A last one that was behavioral.
The process took around 1 week.
I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Hitachi Vantara (Chicago, IL) in Nov 2023
Interview
The case study was challenging but fair. Lots of good questions but straightforward. Good rapport with everyone in the room which was nice to see compared to others. I would recommend.
A Phone screening by the recruiter followed by three to five video interviews with prospective bosses and teammates. The level of seniority in interviewers progressed as the interviews went on. Finally, I had a call with the recruiter telling me the results. The team enjoyed, but the company recently went on a hiring freeze.
