I had the singularly weirdest and most unprofessional experience with the CEO of this company.
The CEO was more than 45 minutes late to our meeting — a meeting set at a location of his choice and at his request. Upon arrival, he realized he had forgotten his wallet, leaving me to pay not only for my own drinks but also his drinks and food, as he hadn’t eaten.
After the meeting, I followed up with multiple emails seeking feedback or any outcome, only to be completely ghosted. The lack of basic courtesy was appalling, especially considering I had effectively paid for my own interview.
When investors or industry contacts have asked about this company, I’ve been unable to recommend them in good conscience. This experience reflects a troubling lack of respect, professionalism, and accountability at the highest level of leadership.
Advice to Management:
Respect candidates’ time and contributions, and understand that professionalism is a reflection of your company’s values. If this is how leadership behaves during an interview, it raises serious concerns about the organization’s culture and integrity.
