just 1st interview with a recruiter and technical test straight away, I haven't spoken with anybody of the company before the tech test. I suppose you will be interviewed after this test.

I applied on a job board. The recruiter contacted me and asked me to complete a DevSkiller test. I completed the test. They asked my salary expectations before proceeding to the second round and I agreed to an amount within their range. The second round was with the head of engineering. He said that I did average on the test and asked if I would accept a lower amount. I agreed and he said that they would tell their decision in some time. After around a week, I got a generic rejection email. I asked for a reason but got no reply. Rejection is fine but at least give a proper reason after wasting my time.
