They only hire people who are English native speakers, without mentioning that in their job post. They completely disregard the education, qualifications and years of experience if you have a slight accent. It is discriminatory! And an offense to one's intelligence when they come up, over the phone screening, with some pathetic nonsense that doesn't mean neither "yay' nor "nay".
The resume shows the applicant's background and work story, so why bother them with a call if they aren't native speakers?
One can easily guess what the issue is, not the qualification and expertise, but the accent. It is shameful and a crass disrespect!
