      Executive Assistant Business Partner Interview

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Intuit

      Interview

Very drawn out and excessive - I feel that the order could be improved to limit everyone's time invested. I was initially told the process would be meeting with the hiring manager and then a team interview - they should be transparent during the recruiting call of what to expect during the interviewing process since nothing was mentioned about a presentation. Another thing to note is the recruiter only provided 1 time slots for different calls and moved our last call to be earlier but ended up calling me later than the original time. I completely understand meetings run over but being mindful of candidates schedules and proactively sending a note when you know you will be 15 minutes late is not difficult to do. The recruiter was pleasant and informational, despite misleading interview process info (30 min). The hiring manager interview (30 min) was positive but a little hard to connect with. After two rounds of interviews they assign a presentation assignment that requires 1 hour of presenting in front of various people and includes a case study (generally easy study). Following the one hour presentation they have 2 more hours of interviews, including a repetitive interview with the hiring manager who you have already met and presented in front of. I have interviewed for many many similar roles and this position was one of the lowest paying yet the most demanding interview process. I understand why they have their process and the purpose of assignments, but I felt that the role was below the pay grade and investment requested and that the interview process seemed too drawn out for a less senior level role.

      Application

I applied online. The process took 5 months. I interviewed at Intuit (San Diego, CA) in Feb 2022

      Interview

The process was enjoyable. The initial call was with the recruiter who asked general questions, including about my salary preference. I then was scheduled to interview with another EABP. That interview was scheduled about a week later and lasted 30 minutes. That interview delved a little more into traditional interview questions. I was then scheduled for a craft demo which, for me, related to scheduling 12 various items of importance into an 8 hour day. The craft presentation took about 45 minutes with questions being asked and then I had 3 more sessions following with the different members of the team I was interviewing with. These questions were primarily focused on the craft demo as well as allowing me to ask questions of the team members. I did not get an offer for this team; however, I was referred to another hiring manager who I met and interviewed (conducted my craft demo) and received an offer. The total time it took for me was about 5 months which I believe is unusual but everyone stayed in communication with me and kept me in the loop so it was fairly easy to stay patient.
