I was called a day after the application to arrange the first round interview by Skype as I was located in another country. This was surprising, knowing how inept JPMorgan HR is. This was 30 mins 1:1. Standard questions asking for examples, why JP Morgan and Edinburgh etc. Interviewer seemed nice and content with my answers.
Got an email the same day asking my availability for a final 3 part interview with 3 senior members 30 mins each. A day before my interview, my application was rejected. When I quiered this, I was told that it was a system error and my application would be opened. It never was.
The final interview was standard asking specific examples of showing certain capabilities I.e. Team work, making processes more efficient etc. This isn't the first time I've come across JPMorgans inadequate interview process and staff so it didn't come as a surprise when one of the interviewers had the wrong CV (which was for another job I had applied and very specific to that) The in house Recruiter had given one of them the wrong CV even though the online application clearly had the correct CV assigned to this particular job. This definitely made the last part of the interview very difficult as the interviewer couldn't get it through his head that he got the wrong CV.
I got a notification that I was rejected and told to apply for the position again which didn't make sense as I got no reply after chasing up with the Recruiter. Its a very recurring theme with JPMorgan for a lot of people who apply and end up being put through a frustrating experience. Won't be applying back for the foreseeable future.
