I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Jane Street in Oct 2016
Interview
I applied online and received a follow up from a woman in HR in less than a week. We scheduled a phone interview and it was very casual but (expectedly) difficult. She was friendly and helped me work through some of the more difficult quantitative/brain-teaser problems. Did not end up getting an offer.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
There are an unknown amount of people on a bus. After the first stop, three-quarters of them get off and 7 get on. This happens again a two more stops. After this process, what is the minimum amount of possible people that could be on the bus?
Several phone calls to go to the final round. The phone calls consists of mathematical, probabilistic brain teasers which was not that hard for a mathematics major. Final round was to harsh for me, strong mentality is required
very fun a lot of interesting problems. The person which was managing the interview process was easily aproachable and really nice to talk to. Also interviewers seemed really interested in the problems given and gave me a lot of chances to talk about them

Interview
Lots of expectation/probability questions. Make sure to study game-theory type question that involves expectations. Specific concepts in stochastic processes don't seem that important. The first two were relatively easy. Just make sure to ask a question if there is any uncertainty
