I applied online. I interviewed at Jane Street in Oct 2023
Interview
The technical interview consists of "simple" probability/combinatorics questions (by simple I mean that knowledge of advanced statistics isn't needed). The questions can be solved with a high-school level of math but are still difficult.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Questions were probability questions like flipping coins, rolling dice, etc.
3 online rounds, with increasing complexity. Final round in person in London.
Questions range from basic probability to more complicated 'market puzzles'.
At every stage they offer flexibility in speeding up the rounds, normally you have a month in between

Question 1
variance and expectations of different table games
I applied online. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Jane Street (London, England) in Apr 2023
Interview
Phone interview. 2 Probability questions. First one about rolling a dice. You may reroll at certain price. Find the expected pay off. Second one about two players tossing a coin BO7. Say A bets on heads and B bets on tails. Given that the game lasted 7 rounds and first round's a head. What's the probability that B wins?
