      Seasonal Part-Time Ticket/Gate Agent Interview

      6 Jul 2009
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Charlotte, NC
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at JetBlue (Charlotte, NC) in Jun 2009

      Interview

JetBlue is hiring this tempoary position for 9 months with a $10Hr salary. Phone interview with a second party company was first and then that company did an automated interview. That part was fast and professional. Jetblue recruiting took over 3 weeks to contact. Slow corporate process. Group interview in a hotel with the recruiter and the station manager. They focused on the job ins/outs and they kept talking about how the employee was there most important part of their airline. We broke into two teams to interview like a group. Thought I was gonna loose my mind having to listen to 6 differnet long drawn-out stories. Three of us had past airline experiance out of the 10 that were there. The three of us were dressed professionaly, most were not. They told us it would be another week for us to hear back, but this was a lie, some people got thank-you emails the next day and some just got listed as "Disqualified" online with out even a thankyou for your time since their company has a long-drawn-out hiring process! (They cant love their employees if they treat the applicants so questionable)They asked one girl to stay after, she was around 21, no airline experiance and Her big skills were, "I can stand in high heels all day". Get ready to be disappointed if you have any airline experiance at all! Unlike the "Legacy Carriers", Jetblue doesnt value airline experiance, and their unprofessionalism shows by their interview and candidate selection process.
