I applied for the role through a recruiter, to which my CV was sent immediately, she told me she would inform me asap. No updates for over a week, so chased and she told me JustEat we reviewing all CV's.
Another week passed, with me chasing, but JustEat were ignoring the recuirters emails, so it seems.
Second week passed, and JustEat had someone they liked, the end or so I thought. Days after, the recuriter called saying their individual fell through, so want to see if I was still avialable. (Between the sending of the CV and this communication, radio silence. I must add, I can imagine the recruiters are partially at fault here)
I organised an initial phone call to screen, which was gauging my knowledge of payments and what I was doing in my current role and JustEat explaining the role, which I was then invited for an inperson interview.
Went to their offices, which is pretty cool, very start-up like, met with the manager, who was friendly and kind. Again, gauged where I was at for my current knowledge of the payment ecosystem, experiences and a general get to know each other. The process was smooth and friendly as a whole in person.
The date here is important as it was over the Xmas period (the interview), so delays to be expected. At the end of the interview, I was told I would be notificed in a week of their decision. A week passed, but due to xmas, I waited until the new year to chase. When chasing via the recruiter, she informed me she has emailed JustEat 5 times (likely 1/2) and is getting her manager involved in the issue.
It's now been 3+ weeks since the interview and I am yet to get a confirmation of the fact I clearly didn't get the job. Considering it's not hard to email or call someone to inform them they did not have the skills that were needed, I find it quite rude they decided to just ignore any further communicaiton, which is a shame, as the actual manager I met with seemed professional.
Overall, JustEat seems poor at communication and it was a long process for such a junior job. I still believe it would be a good company to work for, but their HR/Talet aqusition team are dreadful at communicating to candidates and do not have the common deceancy to turn candidates down, they prefer leaving you in limbo
