I was interviewed forst by phone, three times in person, and then had further interviews with members of the Board of Directors. They all liked me but I could see the dysfunctional aspects of the job. If that many people need to interview me, chances are that number of people will need to decide my raises, evaluations, and perhaps question my decisions. As a Director of Operations, it would be a hoorible situation. I am a prefessional and should not need to got through a "gauntlet" just to get a job.
