As job seeker eager to start my journey in digital marketing, I was excited to receive an offer from a company after going through a 3-round recruitment process that spanned nearly three weeks. One of the rounds even took three hours to complete. However, I was surprised and disappointed that the final interview lasted less than 10 minutes—especially when I had to arrange it during my travels. It felt rushed and meaningless, which made me question the purpose of such an intense process.
Despite these red flags, I was offered the position. I had already resigned from my previous job with a two-month notice period, in good faith and anticipation of starting the new role. A clear, structured, and humane recruitment process matters—not just for the company’s reputation, but also for the well-being of job seekers who trust the process.
