I am sharing this to warn other candidates about the unprofessional recruitment process at Kolomolo. Due to time zone differences, I had to be available for an interview in the middle of the night, around 2:00 AM. Despite my willingness to accommodate this difficult schedule, the experience was incredibly disrespectful.
The interviewers joined the video call only to inform me that they had already hired someone else just moments before. I find it unacceptable and a complete lack of professional ethics to let a candidate show up—especially at 2:00 AM—without even giving them the opportunity to proceed with the interview.
If a hiring decision had already been made, the bare minimum expected from a serious company is a prior notification to cancel the meeting. A HR department that does not value people's time is a major red flag regarding the company's overall culture.
Advice to Management:
Improve internal communication between your recruiters and show more empathy toward candidates. Other people's time is just as valuable as yours.
