      Distributed Systems Engineer Interview

      21 Nov 2025
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Declined offer
      Positive experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at LONGI in Nov 2025

      Interview

I recently went through a three-round interview process for a role, and overall the experience was very positive. The communication was smooth, the interviewers were respectful, and the conversations were detailed yet friendly. 1️⃣ Round 1 – Initial Screening (HR) The first round was a short HR screening. HR was courteous and well-prepared. The conversation focused on my background, key projects, and general fit for the role. They clearly explained the position expectations and timeline, which helped set good transparency from the beginning. ⏱️ Timeline & Organization Scheduling was flexible Each interviewer joined on time HR followed up promptly after each stage The coordination gave the impression of a well-run and respectful process. 🧭 Overall Impression This is a company that: Values technical depth Cares about communication and collaboration Tries to maintain a welcoming interview environment Treats candidates politely throughout the process While the interviews were long (two 1-hour rounds), the structure helped me present my work clearly, and the conversation always felt professional and fair. 👍 Recommendation

2️⃣ Round 2 – Technical Interview (1 hour) The second round was a full one-hour discussion with two managers on the technical team. This round was deep and detail-oriented but conducted in a friendly tone. Topics covered included: My past engineering experience (process, modeling, optimization, quality, etc.) Project troubleshooting methods Scenario-based questions involving real plant or lab situations Some detailed follow-ups about my technical decisions (they appreciate structured thinking) What I appreciated most was that the managers created an open atmosphere. Even when they asked more challenging questions, they encouraged me to walk through my thought process. 3️⃣ Round 3 – Panel/Manager + HR Manager (1 hour) The final round combined senior managers and the HR manager. It was more focused on: Team fit and communication style How I collaborate during cross-functional projects Leadership potential and long-term interest in the industry Behavioral questions, but with a conversational feel rather than rigid formality The HR manager was especially kind and professional — they took the time to explain the culture, growth paths, and what the company expects from new hires in the first six months.
