It was 5 step interview process with needing to do a presentation. It was standard for this type of role but, do feel for a mid CSM these are too long.
The phone call with the recruiter was ok. The interview with the hiring manager, however, was not great. They were distracted the entire time, answered a phone call during the interview and didn't seem too prepared to ask questions. They also sent a template email indicating I wouldn't be moving forward and didn't provide any feedback as to why. I only made it to the second round, but based on what the recruiter said their process would have been: 1. phone call with recruiter. 2. a 30 min call with hiring manager. 2. a 30 mins call with one of the directors of the marketing team. 4. Test/assessment and then a presentation interview with a panel of 3 people (the two people already interviewed with and another stakeholder). 5. a 30 min wrap up call interview with hiring manager. I do recall a few questions focusing on why I was looking for a new job in the first place - an odd thing to focus on IMO. That has nothing to do with my skillset.
