The interview process was ridiculously long and they asked me to do spec work. I declined to do spec work.
I had an over 1.5 hour phone interview, turned the job down, and was then talked into doing a 1+ hour Zoom talk so the owner could 'sell me' on the job and prove that my reasons for not wanting to work there were wrong.
My feelings were not wrong.
