I completed my profile on Friday and was contacted by a recruiter on Monday who requested that I lower my preferred hourly rate. After agreeing to a reduced rate and providing information that was already included in my profile, I received a link to schedule an introductory call. The recruiter mentioned that the discussion would involve some technical questions related to my stack, so I prepared accordingly. However, instead of a typical discussion, I was presented with a Codebyte multiple-choice quiz, similar to a certification exam. Unfortunately, by the time I realized this quiz was a requirement, the interview time had already elapsed. I would recommend that recruiters have candidates complete the Codebyte assessment beforehand, as it requires careful reading and consideration.
