      Operations Interview

      11 Jun 2015
      Anonymous interview candidate
      San Francisco, CA
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 4 days. I interviewed at LendingClub (San Francisco, CA) in May 2015

      Interview

Had a great phone screen. Met with five people when invited into the office. Everyone said that my skills, experience and willingness to jump in & assist where ever needs was super--a great fit. I walked away after a few hours of interviewing feel very positive & enthusiastic. No indication that I would not get that call to offer me the job. Much to my dismay I did get that call from the recruiter only to tell me they picked someone else & that I was not a fit. Very frustrating! They put on a nice dog & pony show with a happy faces but are not being honest in the interview. My advice is to management is to take a good look at how your people screen & approach when interviewing candidates. My strong believe is it could very well be an issue ageism as well. Very disappointing!!
