Ridiculously demeaning tests - spelling, basic math, typing speed, other nonsense that would only be appropriate for someone that was not educated in the US. Nothing appropriate to Controllership. Blatantly illegal questions had to be responded to - in writing. Boss was polite but clearly there was a large undertone of domineering and belittling behavior. The face to face in his office had me squeezed into a chair between the front of his desk and the wall, with little room to manuever, while his side was very roomy; it was a setup designed to make you feel small and powerless.
