      Developer Interview

      7 May 2021
      Anonymous interview candidate
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at LuvBug Learning in Mar 2021

      Interview

Red flags everywhere, stay away. The initial interview process was quite standard; a quick phone call, and then a technical test/assessment afterwards. The hiring individual was quite nice and responsive. However, the first red flag, albeit not so bad, is that they would not provide any range or anything about compensation. I was told I would only know once I have spoken to the CEO. I passed the technically assessment and was given a time to speak with the CEO. This is where everything went downhill and I had the misfortune of speaking with one of the rudest, most impersonal individuals I have ever spoken to. The interview started off decent enough, but it was apparent the CEO/hiring individual were not interested at all. They were on their phones the entire time while listening to me speak. They asked me why I was planning on leaving my current position, and I told them my reply, which had to do with leadership problems. After my reply, I was given an insane rambling at me. I'm paraphrasing, but was told these different kinds of statements: "This is why I hate your generation. You should man up. This is pathetic. This interview is over". Promptly which the CEO immediately signed off and exited the call. I was in absolute shock and awe about what had just happened. The rambling is so incredibly ironic considering their number one value which is "Mutual Respect/Diversity/Fairness/Tolerance: we respect each person as equal to all others". The absolute irony is just hilarious. I am so glad I was able to dodge this bullet. No wonder talent is leaving this company after only a few months. If this is how the CEO speaks to an interviewee and potential employer, I can only imagine for those currently employed. My advice; stay far away from this company, definitely not someone you'd want to be working under.
