I also reached out to a hiring contact I had known professionally, sending a polite LinkedIn message and connection request. My profile was viewed, but I didn’t receive a reply. A few days later, I noticed a public post from the same person encouraging others to apply. While I understand the volume of candidates can be high, a simple reply or update after the interview would have made the experience feel more thoughtful and respectful.
