      Lead Consultant Interview

      24 Jul 2024
      Anonymous interview candidate
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at MarCloud Consulting

      Interview

The interview process was an extremely frustrating and unprofessional experience. It dragged on for nearly two months, during which I went through four interviews—two over the phone and two in person. Each time, we covered the same information about my profile and background, which felt redundant and unnecessary. What was most aggravating, however, was the complete lack of communication from the company. After each interview, I was left in the dark for weeks, with no feedback or updates, despite my repeated attempts to reach out to HR. This experience felt like a significant waste of my time and raised serious concerns about the company's organizational efficiency and respect for candidates. Ultimately, I didn't get the role, but in hindsight, that might not be a bad thing. The interview process revealed several red flags about the company's communication and organization. It was a valuable learning experience, highlighting what I truly want in a workplace—transparency, respect for candidates' time, and efficient communication. It's clear that this opportunity wasn't the right fit for me, and I'm now better prepared to find a role that aligns with my values and expectations.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

General questions about myself, my experience and what I want from a role moving forwards. Discussed my technical skills with Salesforce and amount of time I had used the platform.

Straight off the bat, we are sorry that you had a bad experience here, we know how much time goes into interviewing and it is often an unenjoyable process. This feedback is not a common occurrence for us and as a small business, we do often take a personal approach to interviews which includes giving feedback to candidates. To be really candid though, this is partly why we avoid using recruiters when possible. Typically, recruiters like to stay in the middle of the relationship so feedback goes to them and then back to you. Trust me when I say they always chase us for feedback! So, in this instance, I can only assume they didn't pass the message back to you. I've checked in with HR who said they are unaware of any requests for interview feedback so I apologise for this! It is normal practice for HR to call candidates to give feedback but again, we wouldn't have actioned this if via a recruiter. Please feel free to message me on LinkedIn if you have any constructive feedback or simply want a chat. Best regards, Tom Ryan Founder & CEO
