I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Marks & Spencer

      Interview

The interview with the hiring manager was a good experience but they took a long time to arrange the interview. There was then no feedback regarding the role after. I saw that the job role had been filled through seeing the accepted applicant posting on LinkedIn.

      Application

I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Marks & Spencer (London, England) in Sept 2024

      Interview

First interview was on zoom, was lovely to meet the team, talk openly about the job and the wider team, and was given opportunity to talk through my CV. Second interview was in London, i had to prepare a presentation. This included me visiting a large M&S store to do a SWAT analysis. Pretty standard stuff. I visited HQ in London and presented to someone i had met on the first video interview, and another buyer too. It then turned out that the advertised Hybrid role was not as it seems, 3 days in office and 2 WFH, but your WFH days would be used for any store visits, or design store visits, these were not protected WFH days. Also, the hours are longer than anywhere I've heard of before; 8am-5.30pm. I was told i would hear back within 10 days or so, but they completely ghosted me, i even contacted their HR and heard nothing. Really disappointed for such a lovely brand, especially since i did a big presentation which took lots of work, and travelled into central London.
