I applied online and heard back about 2-ish weeks later. We talked back and forth over email and scheduled an in-person interview. I’ve lived in the area my entire life and I still got lost so I would highly recommend giving yourself ample time to get there. The office itself is nice but it seemed pretty dark inside, which was weird. I was greeted by a very friendly receptionist and was shown to a conference room to wait. I set up my laptop to show my portfolio that I was told to bring in and proceeded to wait nearly half an hour for the actual interview. I was interviewed by two people who didn’t seem the least bit interested in interviewing me. Upon seeing my public relations degree, one person remarked that they don’t do PR at the company. Then why was I called in? It felt like I was being grilled for not having the level of entry level experience they were looking for. Pretty standard interview questions for a company that seems to be trying really hard to be cool. Portfolio seemed like an after thought so I looked ridiculous bringing in a laptop. It’s the first time I ever felt an interview didn’t go well. Sent a follow up email thanking them for the interview and consideration and inquired a salary range for the position. I was told that it was inappropriate to ask and I would be told a salary if I was extended a formal offer. So all around it was a pretty negative experience.
