McGraw Hill interview questions

Whole process was about 3 to 4 weeks. Went through 5 rounds of interviews (screening, exec, panel 1, 2 and 3). Waited for about 5 business days after last interview and was told they loved me but role was given to an internal candidate. Very unprofessional to put someone through to the final stages and not reveal at any point that they are competing against an internal candidate. Whole team and recruiter were super nice and process was smooth other than unfortunate and unprofessional hiring / decision process. Felt very shady and suspect for a bait and switch at the end like that.

Total interview process had three rounds total. The technical interview was an hour long coding session with a senior engineer and a software engineer on the team. They were easy to work with.
