I was once asked to develop a social media marketing strategy for a random Instagram account, which I submitted. Following this, I was scheduled for an interview with three people, which seemed unusual for a junior position. During the interview, one interviewer was casually sitting on a bed, while the other two joined from the same laptop—one taking notes and the other barely participating.
I was asked to present my ideas and give a brief introduction, and that was it. Later, I discovered that the "random" Instagram account was actually one of their new clients. After monitoring their LinkedIn for a few days, I noticed that no one was hired for the role, confirming my suspicion that it was just a ploy to gather free ideas.
